The 1st Annual JT’s 5K Run will be held on July 26, 2014 on the Peoria Riverfront Trail.   This event is to raise money for the awareness and the research for a cure of Melanoma.  Melanoma is a type of cancer, most often of the skin. It occurs in melanocytes, the cells that color the skin and make moles, or nevi. Melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer because it can spread to lymph nodes and distant organs. In 2014, it is expected that approximately 77,000 Americans will be diagnosed with melanoma, resulting in nearly 10,000 deaths.
The t-shirts will be a major part of this event with the local sponsorship appearing on the back of the shirt.  The t-shirts will be worn by the participants of the race. Please consider contributing any amount for this event, $250 will get your business name and/or logo on the t-shirt.
Please accept my sincere thanks for your contribution. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 309-620-3013.
